Typically, lesson plans are build around students goals. Some students may not have an interest in learning from a "traditional" approach from a book. Although this is highly recommended, I create different lesson plans for each individual student. I typically use and coach students from "Stick Control: for the snare drummer", "Syncopation for the modern drummer" and "The Blue Book" for drums. In September 2010, i was the drummer for the band " The Secret ", we won the  first place in the “EUROVOICE” contest with our song “In the Arms of My Angel”. I moved to Austin, Texas (USA) in February 2013 to continue my musical career. Since then, i have played with many Austin musicians as well as being a member of One World (R)evolution  and the drummer of the  artist  "Sefo" .  We are presently in the studio recording their upcoming album, expected for release in 2015. I like to teach with books but also with songs.  It's all about having fun! I have different routines and practice methods. The idea is to keep things positive and challenge free. Working with a metronome is a key factor for finding the right tempo to make sure that the student will feel comfortable while he or she is practicing the information. I believe am gifted at finding a good balance, between discipline and chaos, during my lessons. Just enough regimented order, mixed in with relaxed spontaneity. For my younger students, I am teacher that is demands respect and encourages smiles, at the same time. With my adult students, I hold them accountable, without coming off The Boss! Also I have continued to teach private lessons at schools in the Corpus are while I was a Band Director in Sinton for 29 years.
