As soon as I think the student is ready I start teaching simple songs by rote. While in high school I taught students, played in several performing groups, and toured Europe with a youth orchestra composed of students from all over the United States. I earned my degree in violin performance from the University of Texas in 1981, having served several times as concertmaster of the University of Texas Symphony and taught students in the University of Texas String Project.
