Music has been one of my passions since I was a little girl! I took up piano at age 8, violin at 13, and drums at 15. I've been known to belt out a tune here and there, too! There is nothing better than having an afternoon to lose yourself to creating and playing music. In high school, I was Concert Master of the Philharmonic Orchestra. I've had the opportunity to perform on the drums at various venues and was invited by my drum instructor to return to the studio to become an instructor myself, where I taught for three years. I began my musical training at age 8, began playing professionally as a teenager, and have been teaching for 15 years. I graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Music Education, with a minor in Percussion Performance. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to perform several nights a week around Austin, and to have toured the US multiple times during the past two years. I started playing snare at 10 and drumset at 14 focusing mostly on rock drumming. I played quads and quints in marching band in high school and bass drum in college. I then studies jazz and percussion at Grand Rapids Community College and Grand Valley State University. I then studied Music composition at University of North Texas.
