I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree on Vocal Performance, and am currently a second-year master's student pursuing a degree in Vocal Pedagagy. I am aspiring to be an educator in the realm of community outreach, to be on the opera stage, and to produce and record classical, childrens, Christian, jazz and ethno-cultural sacred music. I have been teaching continuously since 2002. I started by teaching undergraduate students at UT and continued in high schools and middle schools in the greater austin area. I encourage students to find the best fit for their interests and talents during lessons. Some students want to be able to sing better in church or school choirs, while others are interested in musical solos or college auditions. Some featured roles include portraying Phyllis in Gilbert Sullivans Iolanthe, Despina in Mozarts Cosi fan tutte, and Susanna in Mozarts Le Nozze di Figaro. In the spring of 2009, I was a featured soloist for Charpentier's Midnight Mass at the UTSA Masterwork Concert, and again in 2010 for Handel's Messiah.
