I am a graduate from Texas AM University Kingsville. I studied with soprano Dr. Melinda Brou during my undergraduate years. I received my BM in 2013, and I am now working on my MM at the University of Texas at Austin where I study under the direction of baritone David Small. I am a passionate full time musician that both teaches and performs. I have been teaching private lessons for 9 years and performing for 4 years. I started out as an academically driven violinist while playing guitar recreationally. My approach to teaching emphasizes the importance of patience and forming building blocks that will take the student to where they want to go, over time. I like to encourage my students by focusing on small victories that happen in each lesson so that they are inspired to accomplish more and more as our lessons continue. I have a friendly, no-pressure approach to teaching and I want my students to feel as comfortable as possible not only to be amazing singers and performers, but to also be equipped accordingly to handle snags or setbacks that may happen along the way.
