Focus on music literacy not only helps my students read music more seamlessly but it also reinforces technique and comprehensive development. I have also worked with a contemporary community music school in San Diego with a "Rock" Focus, working with elementary and middle school drummers, vocalists, guitarists and pianists to form their own bands.Currently, in addition to teaching privately, I am an Arts Department Substitute Teacher for La Jolla Country Day School, working with both their band and orchestra programs in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. After graduating from music school - Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA, I continued to pursue my educational goals attending California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
