Any good coach would study the student for any weakness, and formulate a viable plan to bridge the gap again to take them further faster.. From there I went to pursue my Master's Degree in Music at the University of Akron, graduating Suma Cum Laude. I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I received my Masters of Music in Trumpet Performance with Eric Berlin. In my time there, I was a member of the Graduate Brass Quintet, Faculty Brass Quintet, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Trumpet Ensemble. During that time I had a few students who were just beginning to play saxophone and clarinet. Students will be presented with all the necessary skills in order to properly perform on the clarinet: breathing, posture, hand and finger position, embouchure, tone production, articulation, technique, rhythmical precision, transposition, and sight-reading. A wide selection of clarinet literature will be presented: classical, romantic and contemporary eras (baroque transcriptions as needed).
