I always create a unique lesson plan for each student based of their age, skill, and most importantly the music style or genre they want to pursue. I approach every genre with a strong foundation in order to make repertoire more approachable, such as learning a variety of scales, developing good tone, and working on method or etude books to strengthen the range of possibilities on their instruments. William is a retired college professor who taught woodwinds at the college level for over 25 years. He is an accomplished recitalist on both clarinet and saxophone. He earned the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron and the Ph.D. in musicology from Kent State University. He has performed at meetings of the International Clarinet Society and is a past editor of reviews for the organization's journal. Read More

I teach a combination of Rote and verbal, conveying my ideas while playing as an example. I realized my passion for music when I was teaching forty clarinetists during a band camp. They caught on to my personality and knew I wanted the best for them. This ultimately drove them to be better musicians. I am a dedicated instructor who has worked with students of all ages and ability levels.
