Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I like to create a combination of my own supplementary material, along with what the students are preparing for classes or outside engagements. I believe in a very strong fundamental background and have created a set of exercises geared to maximize effectiveness, and guarantee progress. Excellence in preparation leads to excellence in performance, and a focus on fundamentals builds the skillset and the confidence to achieve. Music has been a significant part of my life since I was a child, and it's importance has grown as I've gotten older. I started, as many do, in the fifth grade when I started playing the saxophone which I continued on through high school. When I was 13 I started playing the electric guitar, and I would later switch to the classical guitar at 19. In college I learned some piano as well as bassoon in addition to the methods and materials classes that I had to take as a music education major. Read More

The greatest experience from high school was being accepted to Indiana University's Saxophone Academy, a week long camp in the summer for advanced saxophonist to work with the world renown classical saxophonist Otis Murphy. I have been very successful in college as well, maintaining a 3.8 GPA, participating in many ensembles and contests, and achieving principle positions in the top music groups the university has to offer. I plan to further my education after earning my Bachelor's, hoping to earn a master and doctorate at Indiana or Michigan University. Read More
