I began teaching flute lessons when I was a senior in high school. Though these lessons were not true lessons, they helped me grow into the teacher that I now am today. I began to realize my love for teaching music when I would volunteer to assist my band director with the younger students. Once I got into college, I taught woodwind lessons to local students near my college. My style of lesson is like water.. No two students are alike. I must first test a beginner to see if they're tone deaf.. An advanced student is tested for any limitations or handicaps. Any good coach would study the student for any weakness, and formulate a viable plan to bridge the gap again to take them further faster..
