Recently I was the principal flutist in a professional chamber orchestra for many years and currently I am teaching. As much of my professional career has been in Latin America, I am bilingual. I started teaching at a small music store in Hollywood, Florida called The Banjo Shop. As the store specialized in Bluegrass music, I was hired to teach students the pop and rock songs being played at that time. I taught there for three years before relocating to North East Ohio. After taking some years off to raise a family I started teaching at GitterPicker String Factory in Twinsburg in 2005. Students participated and awarded on state and federal festivals and competitions. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn.
