I believe progress looks different for everyone, and I am very patient and happy to go over something more than once. I have a tendency for keeping students for many years and have had students go on to recording their own discs, music schools for college and taking their experience right to the stage for live shows. I encourage my students to develop their art and play live as much as they can. With over 25 years of playing multiple instruments, multiple music degress, constantly playing live concerts and writing music scores, I can teach and help develop my students in a way that will help them with their art and other aspects of their lives. For younger students I start with showcasing what they can achieve with practice and perseverance. I do that by showing my playing. Then we start with the chromatic scale so the fingers can get use to the strings and moving around the fretboard. Same with drums but we start with easy hits and patterns.
