I started playing bass at 11, playing in rock bands with friends. We gained a lot of experience performing in those days. I extended to guitar shortly after bass and began practicing other styles and improvising. Around age 16 I started getting into jazz and that is when I started to get serious about music. I went to salem state university and studied jazz and classical guitar as well as piano and ukulele. Read More

Teaching private music lessons to students of all ages and experience levels is a dynamic and rewarding endeavor that requires adaptability and a tailored approach. To begin, I start by assessing each student's individual goals, musical tastes, and prior experience. For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in music theory, basic techniques, and instrument proficiency. As students progress, I gradually introduce more complex concepts and repertoire suited to their interests and abilities. Read More

My experience as a professional musician began as a teenager doing session work for bands all around Florida. In recent years I have also founded my own record label, toured with my own projects, and also play with internationally known touring acts. I've found that if you are stoked on what you do, and have a commitment to working hard on your craft, anything is truly possible. My students are encouraged to love what they love, and be stoked on expanding their musical skill set. Read More

I began learning piano at the age of three. My dad is a band and chorus teacher and didn't consider it an "optional" skill. I actually learned to read music before english! (I was confused in kindergarten when I found that the alphabet went past G!) Music has been an integral part of my life since then with my elementary and high school years filled with festivals, concerts, auditions and competitions. Read More

I graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Electronic Production and Design. Following my graduation, I began working in the Boston area as a freelance session bassist and educator. From 2013 - 2017, I was a member of the Boston based roots rock band the Adam Ezra Group, with whom I toured internationally and opened for artists such as Willie Nelson, the Wailers, Alison Krauss, Robert Randolph, Rusted Root, the Gin Blossoms, and Robby Krieger, among others. Though each student gets a lesson plan that is catered to their individual needs, I start everyone off with these three questions: Which musical artists do you listen do? What do you like about their music? What are your goals with taking lessons? I use this information to teach the student how to play some of their favorite songs, how to write similar music, and how to use my lessons as a means of achieving their musical goals I have found that doing so results in faster results, and increased motivation. I try to tailor my lessons almost like a Doctor sees a patient. Every student is different, I do think it is important to learn to read music. I love music theory and I emphasize learning to love practicing technique. With my beginner piano students I generally use a Hal Leonard series book, but supplement it with a book of piano exercises. With my guitar students it depends on their age and experience, I use a Hal Leonard method book for youngsters and then begin teaching them songs they identify that they really want to learn.
