It is paramount that students of all levels are learning their instrument through performing their favorite music. All necessary technical exercises can be adapted to a specific genre of music. During my time there, I taught kids anything from different chords on the guitar, to breath support and passion in one's singing, to vocal improvisation and stage confidence.
