My method is simple, teach the student how to enjoy learning music. Every student learns at a different pace and it is my job to show you the steps you need to get the results you want. For children I have a vast amount of musical games that will make them fall in love with their instruments and music in general. For more advance students, I will focus on your weaknesses, learning repertoire and slowly introduce reading and theory in a simple fun way. Read More

My love for the guitar and music, in general, is something I'm eager to share. I approach teaching with enthusiasm, empathy, and creativity, creating an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired. I see teaching as more than imparting knowledge; it's about nurturing creativity, building confidence, and instilling a lifelong appreciation for music. The joy of witnessing a student's growth, not only as a musician but as an individual, is a reward that continually drives my love for teaching. Read More

My teaching experience began junior year of college when we started doing trial "lessons" in our classes and in the surrounding public schools of Lowell. Over that time I acquired specific techniques and methods that I have been able to apply to classroom settings and to individual students alike. Starting towards the end of my senior year I began doing private lessons on Guitar and hope to continue doing them for some time. Read More

No matter what age my student is, I will try to incorporate music they love, whether it's jazz, Hip Hop, Rock, or Pop. I have extensive knowledge of music theory and will make sure to cover chords, scales, and music notation while building familiarity with the instrument. Once the student starts to progress, I will start to teach songs/pieces of music one at a time. At first, it might be a simple four-chord song, and eventually the student will work their way up to something more complex, like a jazz standard. Read More

I'm a rather relaxed individual, and I don't like making my students feel pressured into achieving a specific goal in a strict manner. My attitude allows students to accept mistakes as part of the journey of guitar playing, while at the same time understanding that it is the correction of mistakes and discipline to play correctly that segways into higher level playing, and that the ultimate drive behind guitar playing is the passion to learn and expand their horizons either by attempting new techniques or ideas, or simply being exposed to new types of music. I strongly believe that everyone is very different.  Learning styles and musical goals are very much a part of this.  Some find reading from a book helps them, so for most students I begin by recommending "A Modern Method For Guitar" from the Berklee Press, however for others a book is not as helpful as listening to some music and watching someone play.  I like to introduce as much theory as is desired from the student because theory is a very important part of the musical process, but if the student prefers to get playing first and understand the “why” later then we can work something out in that regard.  Depending on musical interest, we can work with different genre's and pieces to promote specific techniques and practice routines. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
