I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years.  Over those years I have played many different styles, playing different instruments in different bands, from open mics to big venues all over the country.  I love playing music and love helping others discover their love as well.  One note worthy teaching gig I’ve had was working for a company in Nassau County, NY teaching guitar and music theory to developmentally challenged adults in a day program.  There is no musician I will turn away; my focus is guitar, but I have many instruments and can introduce the basics for many such as drums, violin, viola, cello, piano, bass guitar, as well as composition and arrangement.  I have worked with many bands, ensembles, and chamber groups, and would love the opportunity to help you achieve your musical goals.  Whatever your musical interests, I'll help you get to where you want to go. I am a guitarist of 11 years, mostly self-taught. I started learning with the RI Philharmonic music program, then learned on my own by playing with my church band and playing my favorite rock albums by ear. I studied Recording Arts at Full Sail University, which gave me a deeper understanding of the process behind music production, and gave me exposure to new kinds of music to expand my pallette of musical expression.If someone asked me what's my favorite type of music, I now simply show them my Spotify playlist as it's gotten to the point where I can't pinpoint a single favorite, and the amount of music I've heard is too much to describe simply.Having returned to my home state of Rhode Island, I continue to play with my church band and continue to heighten my skills as a guitarist, with the hopes of writing my own original material and continue to invest the gift of music in those around me. I am a lifelong student of music. I began playing the guitar at a very young age, 7 years old, and was playing in public by the time I was 12 years old. Around this time I took a correspondence course in Arranging from the then Berklee School of Music, which did eventually also become my alma mater and I even began teaching for my teacher. I have played and performed throughout the new England states as a solo performer and in bands/ensembles, and have had some of my orchestral works performed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra, truly an achievement for a kid who grew up as a rocker.
