All of my methods are written by me. I have found that going with the typical books slows down the rate of learning, because no two students are alike. I have taken students with no prior experience and in the same time that they would finish "book 1" I have them onstage playing in front of crowds. Read More

I am looking first at what the students know about music and what they can put into practice. Then according to their level i managed to teach them the 14 Chords on guitar in order to move forward in their ability skills. Then I will propose them to learn any songs of their choice and teach them the manner to play it ; arpeggio, Rythmic, solos. I can teach the students some basic of music theory for them to be able to read music and apply it on their instrument. Read More

I first picked up the guitar at the age of 10 and took lessons from instructors for the first few years. I self taught myself much of the foundation of music theory, and a few years later studied under a Los Angeles based teacher who helped me connect all the dots and really take my playing to another level. Lessons need to be fun but at the same time the student needs to feel like they're making real progress. What I do is slow down whatever we're working on to a manageable pace for the student then slowly speed things up in a way that is comfortable for the student while at the same time providing new challenges and goals for the student to work toward. If the student is willing I also give the student the opportunity to perform live in front of their friends and family in real shows at real venues around town. Read More

I had started teaching music to my fellow peers in high school as a school project, and since then have been teaching privately to all ages and skill levels, as well as afterschool arts programs and guitar shops around San Diego. I encourage my students to have a good idea of what they want to accomplish, and through our lessons we'll focus in depth on not only reaching these goals, but doing so in a fun and creative way.
