Typically I break my lessons into two parts; half dedicated to learning songs, and the other half dedicated to learning chords. For songs I'll start out with very basic melody songs (beginners), eventually working in power chords and tackling classic rock favorites, and finally incorporating chords/barre chords/soloing. I began my teaching career in Texas.  I have worked as a private guitar instructor at various music schools in Texas and in Southern California for the past twelve years.  I also enjoy teaching guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar to students in my home studio. This provides instant gratification as the student is able to play something they know and like while at the same time they're learning the techniques they'll need for more complicated challenges in the future.
