I soon learned that students progress more quickly and with more confidence if they're given a program that was constructed just for THEM; so I teach each student with specific tasks and interests depending on their unique background. The teaching experience I have, started at the university, with some colleagues that wished to learn to sing better or to just for Hobbie. For the past 5 years I have helped many singers, professional and young students in different styles of music, in classical, pop and mariachi. As a social service for my university I gave lessons to kids, and conducted choral pieces with senior students and adults. Immediately after graduation, I moved to Los Angeles to enroll at the Musicians Institute (MI) Drum Performance Program, granted with two scholarships, the ‘Musicianship Scholarship’ and the ‘International Musicians Merit Scholarship’. I am very proud of the 15+ years of teaching music and the formal training I had in Music Education and at MI. I've had a love for music since I was a child, when my father played classical recordings at home every day. I've played piano and flute since age 10, and the enjoyment of it just keeps increasing! From elementary school through college I performed on flute, including as a soloist, in bands and orchestras; and as an adult I'm continuing that. I've performed in several orchestras in San Diego, and I'm a charter member, section leader, and soloist in the San Diego Concert Band. Read More
