I graduated in May with my master's in voice from the Eastman School of Music. I hold bachelor's degrees and certifications in music education and music therapy. My love of teaching became stronger than ever after I recovered from a vocal disorder that changed my life. Everything I learned from that experience encouraged me to spread awarness of vocal health. Each lesson begins with a chat while we gently stretch, breathe and prepare your body to sing. Singers are attached to their instrument and so getting your mind focused and getting comfortable in the singing space allows us to have as productive a lesson as we can. We work on vocalizes and technique next- to properly warm you up and strengthen your instrument. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 4 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students for 5 to 55+ years old. In my lessons the most important thing to relax, have fun and express yourself. I let students pick which song they like and let them add a piece of their vision of the song.
