I teach breath, posture, resonance, placement and help students get over their mental hurdles to sing their best. When they are getting the basics, I will introduce music of their favorite styles into lessons and we will work on technique seperately and through these repertoire selections. At the end of each lesson, I will give students homework and three to five goals for the week. I give them a very clear idea of what they need to do at home to keep progress moving forward. My teaching experience began right after college when I started my voice and piano studio in Ohio. I maintained a private voice and piano studio for several years until moving to the East Coast. My students participated in several recitals throughout the year and competed in area music competitions. For several years, I taught music in the public schools and at the university level. After graduating from my Bachelors program I began teaching both private voice and elementary-high school vocal and general music. I was teaching children age from 8-14 at Municipal Higher Education Establishment of Choreographic Arts and also give private vocal lessons to students from age 25-68. I love working with beginners because they are open for new experience and ready to receive information.
