My passion for music and education is vast and can be backed up with myriad accomplishments. I began my double bass studies at the age of 10, continuing through primary and secondary school. Throughout high school I performed with the Central New Jersey Honors Orchestra, Governor's School for the Arts, and many local jazz bands and chamber ensembles. In 2014, I graduated from Rutgers University where I studied with Timothy Cobb, principal bassist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Through my college career, I performed in Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, McCarter Theatre, and Smalls Jazz Club.

The goal of my instruction always is for the student to produce a rich, beautiful tone with the minimum physical and mental effort in any musical situation he or she may encounter.  Every student is different, so all of my lessons will be tailored to fit the individual's needs based on his or her level of development.  I will assign practice material to the students from my large collection of standard repertoire for trumpet pedagogy and performance.  Lessons will also involve time for listening to examples of music and playing together either as duets or in call and response.

I follow my program and teching the stuff my students level are. But I'm watching what students more likely to play. Whether style of music or some famous song they about. Then I'm looking for that song of level my student is. I'm giving my skills and love of music to my students. They starting to play music for fun and then they beginning to play music by heart.

As a teacher, my main goal is to see my students succeed and grow as a musician at their own pace. I focus on improvement and progress. I like to challenge my students with new material every week and new techniques. Even though every week we will be learning new things, I help my students grasp the concepts that I teach before we move to the next step. Nothing is more gratifying than seeing students experience the joy of making music and playing.

I attribute my passion in music to all of my music teachers in the past.  I know how important it is for the instructor to approach every lesson with passion in order to start develop the passion within the student.  I believe there is no progress without passion!  Along with a focused practicing schedule, I also encourage all my students to devote some time everyday to listen actively, not passively, to music (any artist or genre) for at least 30 minutes a day.   These techniques help me find what exact aspect of music the student is passionate about and helps me guide any and all future lessons.
