I like to focus not only on the technical aspects of cello playing, but endeavor to make the lessons enjoyable, especially for the younger students. I have nearly 20 years experience playing drums and over 30 in music. I started playing guitar at age 8 and then drums at 22, which has given me a very well rounded knowledge of music. As a drummer, I have toured, have done session work and studied with some of the top drummers in New York and Vermont. In college I began my teaching career. I started teaching private lessons, band classes, and General Music classes. I continue to teach currently as well. Teaching music is truly my passion! Through my teaching I want to spark a passion for music in my students. It is important to me that my students truly enjoy learning music. I believe that each and every student is unique and requires an individual approach dependent on their learning styles, and their own goals and ambitions.
