Im extremely passionate about music and I have been for as long as I can remember. I remember back in middle school when I begged my band director for music lessons and through he was hesitant, he never gave up on me and always believed in me and my musical potential. Since then, I auditioned for Kean University and got accepted into the music program and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Music with a primary in flute and secondary in vocal. Read More

Everyone has their own unique voice, and we will find yours together! I have training in several technique-driven styles, including classical and broadway. However, I like to mix and match. I'm not interested in teaching one certain way- I listen on the fly, and make judgment calls according whatever makes YOU sound best. My guitar lessons are geared toward songwriting and accompaniment. I stress simplicity, expressiveness, and real-world performance skills. Read More

I have been teaching voice on and off for the last 15 years. I have always enjoyed the process. More recently I have had the pleasure of conducting several masterclasses in China, where I was made an honourary professor, University of Toronto and Gordon College in Massachusetts. I have been singing professionally for 10 years in places like the Met and the Canadian Opera Company. I have also had the pleasure of working at the English National Opera and the Bordeaux opera Company. Read More

One thing I love to implement early on is that your student shouldn't put themselves in a box. Many singers refer to themselves as "an opera singer" or "a belter" and I believe that all-singing styles benefit each other. There is a healthy way to explore all singing styles, and being fluent in those styles will make you more versatile throughout your whole life. For beginning singers, I would begin with the basics of music reading and simple melodies that would be recognizable to their ears. Read More

Positive reinforcement is key. I never learned from the mean or the overly strict teachers. In fact those teachers pushed me in the opposite direction of wanting to pursue music professionally. By going at the pace that is comfortable to the student, and praising them at every hurdle they encounter, the progress made can be exponentially greater than if the student is rushed to prepare a piece of music they don't truly care for in the first place. I began study w several classical teachers but my manager at the time insisted on the legendary Don Lawrence. I studied w Don but was inclined back to more classical bellcanto study. Finally, I met William Riley( Celine Dion, Whitney Houston), and began an 11 year study w him. I learned the connection between technique and application w all genre’ and am eternally great full to him for his mentorship. Uh- oh. Read More

I've been lucky enough to start teaching about three years ago under the mentor of my current voice teacher Kate Pazakis (she was taught by Liz Caplan) and I stick to her methodology pretty closely because I find that it is most relatable to the broadest group of students. I started teaching 3 years ago and the outcomes have been wonderously overwhelming! Seeing students grow and finally start to see themselves improve is a wonderful thing! Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
