I am an experienced teacher, performer, and coach for all types of vocal music. In May 2015, I completed my Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. I have experience performing both operatic and musical theater roles; recently, I have been performing as a concert soloist with orchestras around the Denver area. Voice- Depending on how long the lesson is we work on vocal warmups then work on a song. In a 30 min lesson we do vocal warmups for 10 minutes then work on a song fir 20 minutes.Learning the proper vocal technique. My focus is for my students to not only understand music, but enjoy it to the fullest extent. For this reason, there is no set structure for all students, but each lesson varies based on the student's needs and wishes. It is incredibly rewarding to watch my students grow in their passion and love for music as well as grow in their confidence. During the first few lessons, we focus on setting goals and building a roadmap that will enable to the student to reach these milestones as well as allow them to dictate where the lessons go and what individual goals they have set for themselves. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2016 with my Bachelors of Music in Music Education. Since then I have taught in music studios, public school settings, and private lessons. I began playing the piano at the age of 3, my father was a musician, and my first teacher! I continued to study classical, pop, and jazz stlyes, and began performing at age 7, and teaching in high school. Since college, I have maintained a private studio, either at home or in pretigious music schools, and have also taught in the school setting.
