I am set to graduate in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a couple of extra vocal classes under my belt. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Because I teach a variety of instruments and styles, each of my lessons is completely customized to each student. While progressing towards a Masters of Education degree, I learned the absolute importance of addressing different learning styles, and working one-on-one with music students gives me the perfect chance to do just that. I teach every student at their own pace. There is never any pressure and I always acknowledge and praise their efforts and accomplishments. Once I get to know the student and their motivation, inspiration and desires, we build a better understanding of each other. I am very personable, creative and I can always adjust to an individual's needs. As far as my methods, I like a healthy, fun approach. I like to keep my students engaged while teaching them proper voice technique. While working with soloist, I focus on the strength of that singer. We will work on what they are good at and make it even better. Also, anything that the student is struggling with, I like to try various methods until the student understands. Some of my career highlights include the many recitals I have crafted and performed with musical colleagues, singing in a NY opera program called American Singers' Opera Project, my debut at Carnegie Hall in 2012 and all those wordelss moments of connecting with an audience during songs. I am deeply passionate about teaching voice and feel that teaching is really my greatest gift.
