I've been lucky enough to start teaching about three years ago under the mentor of my current voice teacher Kate Pazakis (she was taught by Liz Caplan) and I stick to her methodology pretty closely because I find that it is most relatable to the broadest group of students. I especially love teaching voice. I make goals and adjust to the pace of the student.  While I don't believe I am too strict a teacher, I am always trying to challenge students. Besides keeping them on track with practicing the fundamentals, I encourage students to discover how beautiful and fun music is.    I think my style is more learning music itself. Since I am a singer, piano player and composer, I think I more encourage my students to use their ears and to understand harmony and theory which very is useful for playing music with any instruments. Her work as a singer and actress in Colombia, began in Musical Theatre with Teatro Musical de Colombia as part of “Claus, el Musical” and “La Tonada Siniestra”. She later moved to Boston to study Professional Music, and was selected to do a special performance for honorary degree recipient, Rita Moreno, at the 2016 Commencement Ceremony as “Anita” from “West Side Story”.
