I usually like to get to know a student at first and see how they learn. I ask questions and get them making sounds right away to see how they use their bodies and how they naturally use their voice for speaking and such. From there I develop a plan for the best way to help them. To begin with, I teach my students how to develop their own warm up method which includes breathing and stretching, vocalizations and good old fashioned solfege. You will learn to understand your own vocal mechanism and how it resonates, as well as how breath support works, and their effects on the singing voice.
