In each lesson the student and myself work to make goals for them to accomplish every week and discuss discuss the ways they might be able to go about accomplishing the goals. Sometimes I will make audio recordings of a student to track progress. For a student to sit and really listen to the improvemnets they have made I find to be one of my best teaching tools. After my graduation I moved to London and worked as a music teacher with K-5 grade students. I gained a lot of knowledge about little kids and and the best ways of teaching them. I teach in my home studio, or I go to students' homes, which ever works best. My students have ranged in age from 6 to 85. While still in college, I was a music tutor at North Star in Hadley For two years. I worked one-on-one with students in middle school on both voice and guitar. During my time there, I taught kids anything from different chords on the guitar, to breath support and passion in one's singing, to vocal improvisation and stage confidence.
