I frequently check in with my students to make sure all of their questions are being answered, everything makes sense and, most importantly, they are having fun while learning their instrument. For all students, I encourage them to use Trevor Wye practice books, which include my favorite Reichert and Taffanel Gaubert exercises, warmups, and etudes. While learning the fundamentals, I have some beginner-level pieces and etudes to help hone these skills before students move onto more advanced repertoire. I like to guide my teaching according to the styles and composers that students are interested in to ensure that my students enjoy what they are playing first and foremost. Read More
