My teaching experience began during college, roughly four years ago, while teaching several private students during a summer break. While studying music in college, I received training in topics such as keyboard pedagogy, keyboard literature, collaborative piano, improvisation, music theory, and musicianship (aural skills). I worked as a Music Theory/Musicianship Grader and Tutor for several years, and I assisted in some group piano classes. Originally being a self-taught musician, I began with piano and harmonica, then eventually branched out to guitar, bass, banjo, among several others. I have ran sound equipment from an early age as well, learning how to set rigs for full bands and how to mix and master tracks for recording purposes. My teaching experience encompasses students of all ages. I began teaching in the UK where I taught voice lessons St. Georges School, Windsor Castle, for 4 years to boys and girls aged 4-13. I also taught solo and group lessons at a local High School. I currently teach private voice lessons and substitute at a DC area voice studio. Over the years I have taught multiple genres of music, including pop, folk and musical theatre, though predominantly my experience lies within the realms of classical, opera and choral music. As for adult students, it all depends on their level and desires.From 5 to 8 years old, the lesson takes place in a playful way. Easy hand exercises, simple rhythmic patterns, pieces with polyphonic elements. From 8 to 12 in the program there are scales and exercises by L. Ganon, J. Bach, W. Mozart, P. Tchaikovsky, and K. Cherny. Additionally, I include exercises at the intermediate skill level for mastering improvisation, playing with elements of jazz, and playing by ear and we learn popular children's songs.
