I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and Vocal Performance. I continued my training at Manhattan School of Music and received my Master of Music in Voice in 2016. I have always had a passion for teaching! I come from a family of teachers, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to teach. My senior year of college, I took two semesters of vocal pedagogy and I was instantly hooked. I love the science behind how the voice works, and am fascinated with how that applies to each individual. I received my double bachelor's degrees in Vocal Music Education and Music Performance at Moravian College. As a recent graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, I am trained in all aspects of the performing arts. My approach to teaching is solely based on vocal placement and having a great time. I encourage my students to mimic their favorite artists and or artist that they are not familiar with. This enables the students to loosen the tension in the voice and to get out of their comfort zones.
