I am strongly influenced by Latin American culture and that is why I have been learning all the traditional music from severals countries. I had played in numerous ensembles including: Cambamberos Colombian music ensemble (Brazil),Orquestra de Berimbaus Paraguassu (Brazil), Tambora female South American music (Brazil), Trio Acstico de las Americas (Brazil), Chacombo Afro-peruvian ensemble (LA), CalArts Salsa Band (LA). As a student myself of language and accents for the theater, I have an excellent ear and provide diction coaching far beyond the typical set of languages. As a former ESL teacher and tutor in Spain, I also help ESL singers with English. I read and teach IPA (international phonetic alphabet). I also encourage students to participate in bi-annual recitals which I put on in partnership with other music teachers in Santa Clarita, as performance is an excellent motivator for practice and consistency with lessons.
