At the start of the first lesson, I give each new student a questionniare to fill out that tells me their musical background, influences, goals for the instrument and what music they are interested in learning. If the new student is a younger child, I begin them with Hal Leonard's Guitar Method Book One. While I am happy to help set some basic goals and will assign work to do outside of our lessons, I believe that long term goals are our own. When I graduated in 2016, I started giving vocal lessons on weekends at students homes. The following year, I started giving elementary piano lesson.
