I am a caring and compassionate vocal music teacher and I teach to intermediate level piano and theory as well. I believe music is for everybody and should be explored. I particularly focus on vocal health in my lessons. I have sung in a local opera company as well as in countless weddings and funerals. I teach beginning students both by rote and through reading. We use standard Suzuki books for repertoire and method books such as Wohlfahrt, Mazaz, and Sevcik. Very young students begin on Sassmanshaus since it is very engaging as well as well written. I began teaching youth choirs right after graduating High School. With excellent instruction, I began a more studied teaching approach through my pedigogy class at Central Michigan University. Also, I helped my fellow classmates prepare for their performances. I am beginning to teach privately after continuing my vocal study with a Vocal Coach in the Detroit area. I have been passionate instructor and have been playing multi instruments for 15+ years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and work as an ABA Therapist for autistic children. I have been in multiple bands and recorded a lot of songs. I have toured Michigan and the outer areas. I have had the opportunity to play at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, as well as St. Andrew's.
