I also received 2 honors recitals in my time at Hofstra, one being the highest honor given to a vocalist at the university. I am extremely experienced with a cappella performance, having been president of the co-ed a cappella group (The Hofbeats) for 3 years. Since graduating, I have started my own professional a cappella group (Black to Gold A Cappella). Hien is a sound designer, composer, and singer living in New York. The Budapest-born musician’s deep attachment to music and sound began at a very young age. She studied Electronic Production & Design at Berklee College of Music as a full scholarship recipient. She designs sounds for UX/UI, motion picture and programs sound for live shows. Her singer-songwriter career has included an impressive number of accolades and experiences in the music industry, including Glamour’s "Woman of the Year” award, co-composing the official theme song of Armel Opera Festival, and playing the leading role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon. I typically use the Alfred books for young beginning students. In these books, children learn the geography of the keyboard and learn about the contours of musical notation and by the end are using both hands. For adults, as well as intermediate children and up, I prefer the Michael Aaron series for intermediate and beyond. For beginning adults I use the Aaron Musical Primer. I am a versatile singer and instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with minors in Musical Theater and Songwriting. While in Dallas, I performed with various professional Equity musical theater companies including Casa Manana, Lyric Stage and Theater Three. I am also able to perform in the classical realm, as a soloist in performances of Faure's Requiem, Saint-Seans' Christmas Oratorio and as Papageno in Mozart's Die Zauberflote. Read More

Thank you for visiting my page. I guess music found me. On a family trip to Mexico by way of Arizona when I was eleven years old I remember guitars seemed to be everywhere. I asked my mom and dad if I could have the toy. When we got home from the trip I registered for music lessons and the guitar soon became my favorite toy.
