Depending on the practice habits of the student, they should have at least 2-3 non-method book solo pieces prepared within a year’s time. In 2011, I graduated from Howard Payne University with a degree in music education, where I often performed lead roles in production spanning from "Bye, Bye Birdie," to "Gianni Schicchi."
