I work from a whole-body mindfulness perspective on voice. We use our whole body to create and emit sound, not just our lungs and throat. When we work from a whole-body perspective, we are more grounded, we are better able to identify pitch and stay on pitch, our breath flows better, and the act of singing becomes enjoyable and easy. I slowly introduce repertoire that is appropriate and can highlight their strengths. For more advanced singers, I continue to build upon the foundational elements and guide my instructions based upon the student's interest and goals.  Professional engagements have been in opera, musical theatre, and concert. I have been featured in solo concert appearances in Boston Symphony Hall, San Francisco's Alcazar and Cable Car Theatres, New York's Alice Tully Hall and Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall.   In 2007, I was Quarter-Finalist on season 2 of NBC's America's Got Talent.  I returned for season 3 where I was advanced to the Semi-Finals appearing before an audience of 12 million viewers each week.
