What I want is to nurture a life long love and appreciation of music. Every student is going to be at a different level, and have their own strengths and weaknesses. I prefer to get to know my students and their taste in music, before imposing any sort of practice regimen. Whats important is that students enjoy and are fulfilled by their lessons, not overwhelmed (because then they dont practice!). Read More

I have 8 years of teaching experience. Actually I was very busy performing but I found some time to deliever this passion of mine to the young generations because they are the real future, for a better world. How we can achieve this? By making them being in contact with music, with arts, literature, nature and by teaching them how to love their families and friends! Only this way the world will be a better place to live for the next generations. Read More

I use Bastien Piano Basics for young and older beginners, as well as supplemental books from Alfred Piano and Hal Leonard. For intermediate students, we begin building a repertoire together of pieces the student enjoys and plays well. I try to find a nice balance between classical, traditional, and popular music. For voice I use the Little Singers series for kids and supplemental books of songs from Hal Leonard. These songs include Disney favorites and other classic songs such as "Puff, the Magic Dragon". Learning to sing is a rewarding and worthwhile endeavor and I approach my students individualistically. I assign my student vocal exercises and repertoire and provide clear and thorough instruction to keep lessons fun and engaging! I challenge my students to practice and perfect the assigned homework and songs so that we may keep improving every week.  Through the years, I have built a vocal technique from the ground up which has allowed me to teach and guide students in their own journey in singing. For young voice students, I usually start them off with the Giant Book of Childrens Vocal Solos, which has enough songs to last the first few years of learning to sing, and the Full Voice books in order to learn solfedge and some music theory. Once we have done some of the simpler songs that teach fundamentals, we then can add supplemental pieces (classical, folk, appropriate pop). For teens and adults, both piano and voice lessons are tailored toward goals and interests. Read More

Building rapport is vital in a student-teacher relationship. I encourage the student to make personal goals of progress in addition to the goals I have set for them. I give the student constructive feedback on progress and acknowledge accomplishments. I try keeping an inspirational and open-ended environment for exploration, for music making is fun! I love contributing to the education and growth of fellow musicians. Read More
