The classes are planned based on the individual's voice range. In general, classes begin with breathing techniques, followed by vocal warm-ups. Students at a beginner level will learn German lieder or Italian songs from the "24 Italian Songs and Arias" from the Schirmer's Publishing. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements , kids musical theatre collection and daffodil, violets and snowflakes. We work on Breath control, pitch and tone resonance, diction, and reading music Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

I am a passionate educator and performer from the greater Boston area.  I love to see my students succeed and achieve their musical goals.  My students have gone on to the college level at University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and University of New Hampshire.  At the undergraduate level, I played with the UNH Wind Symphony and the UNH Symphony Orchestra for three years.  I have had two full solo recitals at UNH, and I have had the opportunity to be recorded on the Wind Symphony CD: The Music of Daniel Bukvitch.  Upon graduating with two degrees I moved to New York City. Since I have been playing piano at age 5, I have performed Kabalevsky’s Piano Conerto No. 3 in D Major with Yuba Shuttle Orchestra in California. Besides performing in different states in US, I have been performing opera productions, such as Madama Butterfly, Romeo and Juliette, Rigoletto, Sour Angelica, The Flying Dutchman, and Solo Recitals in Italy, Japan, and Hong Kong etc. Read More
