I loved the experience from the start - few things are more rewarding than watching a student develop their musical passion and skill from lesson to lesson. The old adage that says, "practice makes perfect", is not always right. If the student is practice wrong, they will perform it wrong. For first time students, I immediately begin focusing on the aspect of breath related to the voice. I achieve this by utilizing exercises such as Lip Trills, Tongue rolling, and belly laughs. The is a fun, interesting, and above all effective way to show the student what muscles are working and where.
