I'm a passionate instructor who loves working with students. I recently graduated from Manhattan School of Music with a Masters degree in Classical Voice. I'm also a Singer-Songwriter and love singing varied styles like Pop, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Opera! I've even conducted choirs, worked with bands and produced shows. I've performed in various venues around the city and have even been reviewed by Metropolitan Opera's Opera News -" commanded the plot with lovely sound and subtle charm. "….. Read More

My teaching style is very simple, "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you'll feed him for a lifetime." This is my philosophy of teaching. I am extremely enthusiastic about arts education and passionate about teaching. Ever since I started teaching music with a focus on early childhood music, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in music and technology as well as instilling a sense of self-worth among all students! I work with a variety of learning methods including Hal Leonard, John Thompson, Bastien, Alfred, Hanon, Czerny and Faber. I select methodology and solo repertoire to best improve my students technique while at the same time keeping their interest and enthusiasm. I also encourage music compostition, arranging and improvisation to those students who express an interest and desire to learn who to write and compose music. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of piano I try to engage with my students to learn how to make music on the piano or voice. Read More

Once I find out their level, I take things one step at a time. I always do warm ups, and exercises based on wha t they need work on. I am patient with the students but I do expect them to come prepared. If they do well, I will absoutely let them know, and if they need to work on something, I politely let them know. I want this to be an experience they enjoy, and want to practice, so that's why I am patient, and nice. Read More

The lesson starts with Awareness Through Movement (ATM) applying the Feldenkrais Method to get the student in a state where the mind-body learns new possibilitites of movement, making the body feel more comfortable and expanded. It is a first "tuning" before working directly with the sounding voice. Breathing excercises and vocal technique are to continue. When the student is warmed up, we work in the learning and development of a specific song and/or vocal improvisation. Read More
