At Georgia Southern University, Repp developed the Master of Music in Music Technology Degree and undergraduate degrees and certificates in music technology. He maintained the recording studio, Music Computer-assisted Instruction Lab, and Electronic/Digital Music Studios. While at Terra State College in Ohio, Repp implemented a new college music program, centering the degrees on music technology. At first, students may require a lot of assistance to get through the material, but as they progress, I teach with the intention that they will one day be able to look at a piece and teach themselves without assistance from me. This can take quite a long time and usually requires years of dedication and study. My teaching style is a light. I need a student to be in a positive mood in order to have a good voice. In each lesson I inspire the student, I give them the opportunity to sing what they want. I give instructions about what can help to put the voice in right position and to singing freely. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It's important that each of my students progress at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I am an encouraging teacher, but I help my students set realistic goals (and stretch goals!) that keep them motivated to progress in their musicianship. How our lessons progress really depends on the student in question. If they would like to pursue competitions, I am well equipped to help.
