I doubt you will be very happy about it in the long run. On the other hand, even very simple goals, when pursued with love, almost always provide a bedrock of UNIVERSAL musical information, no matter what form the goal might take. In other words, anything you want to work on musically will teach you more than JUST a specific song or piece; and I consider it my job to help you see just how much of a treasure is waiting under the surface, which you can then use for all other pieces of music you explore in the future. I am a unique teacher, I believe in allowing the student to create their idea of what a vocal coach looks and sounds like, yet only the student can put their effort into making each lesson a success! I can motivate the student into putting forth that effort. Choosing a song, style and performance based on where their comfort level is, working with that, and yet challenging them along the way to be open to trying new ideas. Read More

For beginning piano/keyboard students, we'll begin with Piano Adventures Book 1 by Faber and progress through lesson books until the student is comfortable trying solo pieces. Read More

In 2016, I relocated to Valdosta, GA, where I stayed for four years as a Visiting Assistant Professor and then as an Assistant Professor of Music. During these past number of years, I have learned that teaching students and learning music is fun. It also takes hard work, consistency, and willingness to persevere. Read More

When I know what you want, I will map a finish line in my head. Here is where you want to be. However, when and how we get to that finish line is not something we can script. Every single lesson is a new adventure of discovering aspects of your instrument, problem-solving different hang-ups, and slowly moving forward in the different aspects of vocal music. We don't wish for the future. Read More
