I am an encouraging teacher, but I help my students set realistic goals (and stretch goals!) that keep them motivated to progress in their musicianship. In voice lessons, I start with the Bel Cantor style of teaching and once the fundamentals of singing have been achieved, its time to learn how to break the rules and maintain a healthy singing voice. Since then, I have taught students from middle schoolers to retirees, from beginning students learning to match pitch to advanced students taking professional auditions and winning national awards. My teaching style is a light. I need a student to be in a positive mood in order to have a good voice. In each lesson I inspire the student, I give them the opportunity to sing what they want. I give instructions about what can help to put the voice in right position and to singing freely.
