A 2009 graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Composition and Vocal Pedagogy, I've worked in musical theatre for the past 15 years. For all of my students, I like to begin by teaching correct "warm-up" methods. It is important to learn how to "warm-up" correctly so as not to hurt your voice. These methods usually differ from student to student, depending on their voice. For beginning students, I would like to begin with "Twenty-Four Italian Songs and Arias". After 3 months with me students can expect to have better pitch, better breath control and more confidence all round. I use my own curriculum and record each student to CD. I started teaching when I was about 15 years old, I lead a dance group and choreographed a 50 min show about african heritage in North and South American cultures. It was a big project and it helped me realize how much I loved teaching. From then on I've taught several subjects from dance, to Spanish and voice lessons.
