I teach combination of the Suzuki method and the Hungarian style (stressing the natural, comfortable, painless, tension free method). For young students, the Suzuki method is great, since the repertoire is all fun! Also the CD that comes with every level is vital! Children enjoy and benefit from that. I am an audiophile, so I can set up students with a quality hifi system on the cheap - this is so vital in Suzuki method, as he stated in his book, Nurtured With Love. Read More

I am energetic and passionate, but personable; I love meeting new people and I love making music with them even more. As a recent graduate from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Ed and Vocal Performance, I am so excited to share all I have learned and experienced with the musicians of today and tomorrow. I have always been a teacher at heart, as well as a hard worker--when I set my mind to something I go after it and I find a way to get it. Read More

My approach to singing comes from the Bel Canto school of singing. Bel Canto is Italian for beautiful singing and while I was trained this way, I believe in meeting students at their vocal level and build from there. I dont subscribe to the one size fits all method because we all perceive our voices very differently. Throughout my university years, I had some teachers who got frustrated when they instructed me to sing a certain way that I could not understand and I never want my students to be confused or feel misunderstood during our lessons. My musical teaching experience can be traced back to my early years in college where I started my own music studio based out of a church. From there, I moved on to a professional school where I was able to work with mainly children and teenagers. As I gained more teaching and academic experience, I began to branch out and build my own private studio out of my home. Aside from teaching music, I am also an Elementary school computer and technology teacher. Read More

I started teaching in New York after my fans started asking for lessons. All students agree on one thing: their singing definitely improved. Some of my students ended up on X Factor and The Voice. I can prepare you or your child for singing castings not only with the vocal technique but with the repertoire as well. I tend to be very straight forward and honest about a student's musical abilities and would never mislead a person into continuing with music if he/she doesn't demonstrate prominent skills. Read More

My approach is highly structured. We might start with warm-ups. This can mean, for example, Hanon exercises on the piano. Or playing scales on the guitar. I like to set tempos and practice rhythm as we run scales and chords. Sometimes I use a beat box. I believe in getting the client playing. I play only to demonstrate. I can also be a side player, and play a rhythm part, if the client is playing a solo. Read More
