If you want to work hard, I will work hard as well. My students know the importance of regular practice in order to build dependable muscle memory in their singing. Before returning to PA in the summer of 2017, I taught Preschool-6th Grade general music in Richmond and Oakland, CA. Along with classroom teaching, I've taught voice, guitar, ukulele, piano and group music classes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm currently working towards a PA K-12 Education Certification. For piano students ages 5-9, I generally use the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures series. For piano ages 10-12 I use the Older Beginner series. My teen and adult students normally work out of and Adult All in One series. For more advanced piano students Ill work repertoire, theory and scales/technique as needed/desired by the student. My teaching experience began in my post undergraduate college days. After graduation, I began studying at a studio called Jazz Improv with a Master's level instructor. One of his students asked for a saxophone teacher and the party was referred to me. I was then able to obtain a second saxophone student; I have also had two piano students when teaching. I enjoyed teaching music and it is something I look forward to getting back to as I attempted to acquire students on my own with minimal success. Read More

I have been singing myself since I danced around the living room to my Dad playing the accordian and singing, and been studying voice and performance intensly since the age of 15. I attended the Crane School of Music and earned a Bachelors of Music in Voice, Music Education and Elementary Education and continued on to earn a Masters of Arts in Theatre at SUNY Albany in NY. What I teach for everyone is healthy singing. I have a wealth of pedagogical knowlege, and I know how the voice psyiologically works.
