I am a passionate music teacher that strives towards my students' successes. I graduated in 2009 from University of the Arts with a Bachelor of the Arts in Music Composition. My love for music has lead me to perform with my latin/rb band Buddy Roc The Heartbreak Kids all over the Greater Philadelphia area. My student load for teaching was quite large right off the bat, but I found out quickly that it was absolutely wonderful to teach so many different kinds of singers! The students I teach at the college are mostly Theater Arts majors, but all of them enjoy learning a basis in classical technique. Next year will mark the beginning of my tenth year of teaching at Muhlenberg, and I couldn't be happier or more proud of the students I have taught! Read More

As far as my methods, I like a healthy, fun approach. I like to keep my students engaged while teaching them proper voice technique. While working with soloist, I focus on the strength of that singer. We will work on what they are good at and make it even better. Also, anything that the student is struggling with, I like to try various methods until the student understands. In 2019, I graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a focus on voice, studying both performing and pedagogy. My background in voice includes musical theatre, classical and pop/rock vocal styles. Each lesson begins with a chat while we gently stretch, breathe and prepare your body to sing. Singers are attached to their instrument and so getting your mind focused and getting comfortable in the singing space allows us to have as productive a lesson as we can. We work on vocalizes and technique next- to properly warm you up and strengthen your instrument. If a student isn't having fun learning the instrument then I am doing something wrong! Learning should be fun and a joy not a chore. I try to encourage the students to practice without being told to do so. With that comes a joy of doing it on your own and for themselves not for anyone else. Lessons in my studio are to compliment each students experiences and desires. Since teaching piano from my early college days until now, I find that students have many more interests than just music.
