I have had over 20 years of teaching experience in voice and guitar. In addition to my private teaching practice, I've taught at The Little Red School House in Manhattan as well as the Groove Academy in Edison, NJ. Although I have had the opportunity to teach to classes in the past, I much prefer one on one teaching. I feel that the student gains so much more by individualized lessons and can improve so much more quickly. Read More

I have recently learned bass guitar as well. I encourage students to practice at least 20-30 minutes a day because even that little amount of time makes all the difference. I also love to incorporate creativity in my lessons with songwriting and improvisation. I also encourage students to participate in recitals as well. I am also the Director of the Early Childhood Program at the local music school so I have a lot of experience with ages 0-4 too. Read More

I am super passionate music teacher who loves facilitating students' vocal growth. I graduated from Westminster Choir College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. During my time at Westminster, I have had the pleasure of singing in some amazing venues such as The Lincoln Center in New York, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, The National Cathedral in Washington D.C., Oxford University in England, and many others. I want my students to have a passion for music and be interested in improving as a musician. Each student should set their own goals, with the help of their parents and/or teacher, to have a clear path of what they want to achieve. Auditioning for various opportunities and participating in competitions is highly encouraged. This teaches students how to prepare with practice, and how to observe other students and learn from them. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 4 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students for 5 to 55+ years old. In my lessons the most important thing to relax, have fun and express yourself. I let students pick which song they like and let them add a piece of their vision of the song. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! Read More

One of my main goals as a teacher is to get to know my student, how they best learn, and what it is they love about music. My own love for music and particular bands/genres is what gave me the drive to keep practicing, and I bring this same approach to each of my lessons. Nothing makes me more happy than to see one of my students getting excited about something they are playing--and because of this, I structure my lessons to maximize the aspects of music each student enjoys, while making sure to incorporate fundamental aspects of technique and music theory regardless of the particular music we are studying. My teaching style is very thorough and patient. I welcome mistakes! Please make mistakes! It is not about how often you fall down, but about how you get up again. If you want to work hard, I will work hard as well. My students know the importance of regular practice in order to build dependable muscle memory in their singing. In a lesson we will spend half the amount of time working on technical building exercises and half the time working on repertoire. Read More
