In 1984 I was a music instructor for the Canadian Forces School of Music in Esquimalt British Columbia. Over the last three decades I have taught one-on-one lessons and ensembles at all levels including Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. When I take on a new student I first want to gauge what their goals are, what music they like, assess ability/level, and start building trust. From there we will learn various warm-up and vocal exercises to get their voice strong and flexible.
