For other lessons, I try to tailor them to each student and find materials that fit with their unique music goals. I teach students about breath support and resonation and how they work together. Then help the student customize their own warm up method. while working on scales and solfeggi (do re mi). And then work on vocal projection and range, before moving onto vocal articulation and annunciation. They learn scales, intervals, vocal warm-ups, basic improvisation, repertoire (based upon requested style), different vocal techniques, arpeggiation and articulation exercises. For vocal technique I mostly use Bob Stoloff and Michelle Weir books, but I am always adding new material following today's industry. I also incorporate bacic production and arranging techniques, so my students have an opportunity to produce their songs and creat online profiles with their songs.
