For beginning piano students who are children, I use Piano Adventures books. I also mix it with songs they might like and I can adapt to their level. I encourage my piano young students to sing a bit too. For adults who want to learn how to comp in the piano while they sing, I teach chord theory and rhythm patters, also sight reading if they are interested. I teach not only music performance which includes technique, memorization, practice techniques, body mechanics and health, and memorization but also theory, ear training, music history, performance and music business. All my students have opportunity to perform, learn how to audition for local musical theatre productions, how to record and how to prepare for careers in the arts (if they choose). My personal style of teaching come from more than 20 years of experience on it. I will taylor a different plain of study for each student, from absolute beginners to the Advanced level. For early childhood i will use the Orff Shulwerk model of musical education , very funny and easy to learn. We will start to write together our own music after the first lesson! Then we will work on the songs that interest you and that you are eager to sing! I will use a piano for warm ups and conditioning exercises.
